During this rotation, The Fellow would delve into the concept of e-iatrogenesis, which focuses on the unintended consequences or risks that arise from the use of electronic health records (EHRs) and digital health technologies. They would gain a deep understanding of the potential challenges associated with e-iatrogenesis, such as medication errors, alert fatigue, and cognitive overload. The Fellow would explore strategies to mitigate these risks and enhance patient safety through careful design, implementation, and optimization of digital health systems.
